How often should I change my furnace filter?
For standard 1-inch filters, we recommend changing them every 1 to 3 months. For high-efficiency pleated filters (3 to 5 inches), they can typically last 6 to 12 months depending on household factors like pets and allergies.
Do you offer free shipping within Canada?
Yes, FurnaceFilters.ca offers free shipping on all orders over $100 across most Canadian provinces. Orders are typically processed and shipped within 24-48 hours from our local warehouses.
How do I know which filter size I need?
You can find the size printed on the side of your current filter. If it is not visible, measure the length, width, and thickness. Please note the difference between 'nominal size' (the rounded numbers printed on the side) and 'actual size' (the exact physical measurement).
What is a MERV rating and which one should I choose?
MERV stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value. A higher MERV rating means finer filtration. For most residential homes, a MERV 8 to MERV 11 is ideal. MERV 13 is recommended for superior air quality and capturing bacteria and virus carriers.
What is your return policy if I order the wrong size?
We offer a 30-day return policy on all unused and unopened filters. If you accidentally ordered the wrong size, simply contact our support team to initiate an exchange or return.
